Dr. Sunil K is a distinguished academician, researcher, and administrator with extensive expertise in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Catalysis, Sensors, and Crystallography. With over a decade of experience in higher education and research, he has established himself as a committed leader dedicated to academic excellence, innovation, and institutional development.
He earned his Ph.D. from Mangalore University in 2010, with research focused on spectrophotometric analysis and single-crystal X-ray crystallography of Schiff base compounds. He has made significant scholarly contributions, with more than 75 research publications in reputed national and international journals, reflecting his sustained commitment to advancing chemical sciences.
Dr. Sunil K currently serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Sri Siddhartha Institute of Technology, Tumkur. In addition to his academic leadership, he has holds key administrative roles, including Research Coordinator at SSAHE and Director (In-charge) for Projects and International Collaborations. His multidisciplinary engagement demonstrates his ability to integrate research, administration, and academic strategy effectively.
As a research mentor, he has successfully guided several doctoral scholars, with multiple Ph.D. degrees awarded under his supervision and others actively pursuing advanced research.
